No, we are not required to guarantee returns as per the CMA regulations as the assets we invest in don’t guarantee returns.

Investment return rates in USD may appear lower than KES due to factors such as; Demand for Currency(strengthen of USD against KES).Inflation(US has lower inflation rate than Kenya).This will mean the FX gain will be high in the range of 12% - 15% and when added back to the USD rate, it will be higher than the KES rate.
The money market fund has a weighted average tenor of 13 months, which allows us to identify higher-yielding assets in the short term. The Fixed Income Fund is invested in longer-term assets such as Govt. Bonds whose returns may, from time to time, be weighed down by older dated securities.
